Local & Long-Distance
We offer local moves within the Triangle, as well as long distance moves within North Carolina. The distance of your move determines how you will be billed:
Local Moves
Local moves are charged hourly. This could be any move in the area, as long as the total distance is 50 miles or less. These moves are straightforward: you pay for the hours it takes to complete the move, and our hourly rates are reasonable and transparent. Prior to your move we provide a detailed estimate so you have an idea of how many hours are needed and how much your move would cost. Typically, the majority of time is spent on wrapping and protecting your furniture, as well as loading the moving truck. Once this first phase is complete, the movers will transport your belongings to your new address and unload until all items are in the right rooms.
Long-Distance Moves
Moves over 50 miles are charged quite differently. Although the moving process is similar, you will be charged based on total weight and distance, in compliance with regulations and industry norms. Prior to your move, we will weigh truck to get an empty weight. After loading the truck, we weight it again to calculate the total weight of all your items. This weight, along with the total distance, is then used to calculate the cost of your move. Prior to your move we provide a detailed estimate that includes the total estimated weight, rate, and cost, tailored to your specific needs.
